As a Scientist II, you will be part of a high-performance, cross-disciplinary team. Your work will be exceptionally impactful, driving advancements in sequencing technology that have real-world applications.

A day in the Life:

  • Develop sequencing technologies and products.

  • Complete wet lab experiments with flawless precision.

  • Analyze data to determine the next steps in research.

  • Support Molecular Biology and Chemistry teams in R&D and Operations.

  • Maintain a detailed and organized lab notebook.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.

  • Experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, purification, and quantitation, dilution calculation, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, etc.

  • Familiar with data process using software, such as Microsoft Excel and JMP.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience in next-generation sequencing is a plus.

  • Collaborates well with others and has a strong orientation towards teamwork.

  • Able to multi-task and adjust plans quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.

  • Write standard operating procedures, simple protocols, and reports.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $72,600.00–$108,900.00.
