Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Carlsbad, California. This role is in the industry of accounting and involves a wide range of responsibilities, from reviewing contracts and preparing journal entries to maintaining schedules for financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Review and code contracts and project payments, ensuring compliance with Sox and other internal control processes

• Prepare adjusting journal entries following a thorough review of the General Ledger

• Generate and maintain various schedules such as depreciation, amortizations, straight line rent, committed cost budget reports, cost analysis, cost of sales, and deferred revenue for quarterly financial reporting

• Conduct reviews of bank reconciliations and trial balances

• Implement full cycle accounting and manage Accounts Payable/Receivable

• Ensure accurate documentation and approvals are obtained for all transactions. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting is essential

• Proven experience in a similar role is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel

• Experience with accounting software is a plus

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have a strong ethical stance towards the confidentiality of financial information.
