POSIITON SUMMARY:

This position provides construction management and supports all aspects of assigned projects including project scope, estimate, schedule, engineering design, equipment and material selection, project bidding, contractor selection. This position supports multiple capital and expense projects simultaneously within a managed budget and execution schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all aspects of construction projects in gas processing plants.

  • Ensures all construction work is performed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with MPLX Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedure.

  • Manage projects of varying magnitude and complexity from conception to start-up.

  • Collaborates with affected departments at all stages of the project.

  • Monitors and controls project performance to ensure project meets agreed upon quality, cost and time parameters.

  • Collaborates with Project Controls on project administration Reviews proposed designs and advises on constructability issues with adverse impact.

  • Works with Procurement to identify and obtain resources (equipment, materials and contractors).

  • Establishes and manages staffing resources.

  • Implements construction and installation of facilities and equipment in accordance with approved detailed design.

  • Ensures that all testing and documentation required by the specifications, contracts and all local, State and Federal agencies are completed properly and filed as permanent records.

  • Travel – up to 50%

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Minimum high school or GED required. BS Engineering (Preferred)

  • Experience in Natural Gas or petrochemical industries, with project experience required.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as construction supervisor at gas processing or chemical plants.

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Work Environment: travel to field locations or fabrication sites will be required; therefore, a valid driver's license is required

  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals/employees.

  • Must be capable of providing equipment specifications per MPLX standards and order appropriate materials for projects.
