Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as aContractor Assurance Analyst/Specialistand join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will join the Contractor Assurance System (CAS) Operations section within the Contractor Assurance Department to serve as a Contractor Assurance Analyst/Specialist supporting the CAS Operations Manager and various line organizations in the daily implementation of CAS programs. The role of the Contractor Assurance Analyst/Specialist is to facilitate implementation of CAS processes and procedures with assigned departments. Additionally, this position integrates the strategic direction of the Contractor Assurance organization and the tactical implementation needs of line organizations. Specific responsibilities supporting line organizations include:
Facilitate issue management corrective action planning, implementation, and closure
Lead and participate in event investigations
Lead and participate in causal analyses
Facilitate development and maintenance of performance indicators, including data analysis
Facilitate assessment schedule development, maintenance, and implementation, and plan, lead, and participate on assessments
Facilitate Observations performance and Focus Area identification
Coordinate requirements impact assessments and trace development, review, and maintenance
Coordinate generation and use of lessons learned
Provide training/mentoring to line organization staff regarding implementation of CAS processes, procedures, and tools
Exempt Grade Levels (28-34)

Bachelor-s degree, or
Associate-s degree with four (4) years of relevant experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of relevant experience is required.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat).
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
Preferred Requirements:
Nuclear or high-hazard facility experience
Experience with Contractor Assurance related programs/processes
Experience training, coaching, or mentoring
Familiarity with DOE Directives, Standards, and Guides
Familiarity with the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant

Minimum salary $67,817 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate-s relevant experience and education.
