We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems, performing repairs, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in the upkeep of our facilities, contributing to overall operational excellence.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform non-scheduled & preventive maintenance of all facility equipment and buildingsPerform and direct installation/revision of plant and facility equipment, with aid of contractorsTroubleshoot electrical and electronic controls of plant equipment and facility systems. PLC, HMI, etc.Improve or revise fixtures and equipment from drawings or conceptsProficient in the maintenance of electrical, piping, fluid pumping systems and air compressorsThe ability to use basic maintenance testing and measuring equipmentThe ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams and other technical materialsAbility to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasksMechanical skills such as welding, rigging, gear changing, etcAnalyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service and replace electronic devices and systemsDismantle, inspect and replace electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical partsRepair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and motors using appropriate tools and testing instrumentsTroubleshoot and repairs electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controlsExamine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems whether electrical or mechanicalPerform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problemsPromote and comply with good safety practices and habits, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are workingPerform preventative maintenance tasks as recommended by the manufacture and or the facility’s historical dataKnowledge of A/C & D/C motor drives, installation, and start-upKnowledge of ARC FLASH & LOTO procedures instructed by OSHA & NEC CODE
