As Buyer 2, you will be a key member of our Supply Chain team, tasked with the proactive and strategic management of designated suppliers. Your responsibilities include promptly resolving all business, delivery, and quality concerns with relevant accounts to guarantee customer deliveries are fulfilled. You'll negotiate pricing, as well as terms and conditions of ongoing production orders, to uphold quality, delivery, and specification standards at the lowest feasible cost. You will also monitor supplier performance consistently, prompting corrective action when necessary. Additionally, you'll expedite or delay material orders to ensure the completion of customer needs in a timely and cost-effective manner, while safeguarding inventory levels. You will facilitate transitions between current suppliers when needed, considering supplier pricing, capabilities, capacity, performance, and risk factors. Furthermore, you will communicate and enforce relevant terms and conditions, contractual obligations, quality stipulations, and technical requirements to suppliers, and report on supplier status and performance to Operations as necessary.
This position contributes to our vision by:

The expected salary range for this position is between $68,640 - $88,340 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.

Across all team members, we are looking for the following attributes:
A. Ability to organize and manage meetings to resolve various issues including specifications, engineering requirements, and risk mitigation.
B. Experience with purchasing a wide range of products in the Aerospace Industry, demonstrating knowledge of industry specific procurement requirements.
C. Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding purchasing, logistics, incoming product inspection and inventory control
D. Demonstrates understanding of MRP systems to analyze and react to procurement demand and execute and manage purchase orders.
E. General technical knowledge of commodities to be managed, including familiarity of key technical parameters and ability to understand and navigate through supporting technical documentation, such as drawings or specifications.
F. Practiced and effective negotiation skills.
G. Ability to create and present models or summarized data for decision making (using standard office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint))
H. Comprehension of general Aerospace Quality Management System requirements
