Description:

100% Remote role. Are you a motivated and energetic engineer passionate about building amazing software? Our client is seeking a Senior GIS Software Engineer to join the team and lead the design and execution of highly complex software solutions.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $90 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Design and build complex software solutions using agile/XP/TDD methodologies.

• Lead a team in developing well-designed, efficient code.

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product owners to create cloud-native software solutions for platforms like PCF, Azure, AWS, and mobile iOS/Android.

• Communicate team progress and identify blocking processes.

• Participate in paired programming and code reviews to expand team knowledge.

• Conduct independent research to refine best practices.

Experience Requirements:

• 8+ years of GIS development experience.

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Arcade scripting.

• Experience with ESRI, ArcGIS, ArcPro, ArcFM, and geoprocessing tools.

• High preference for candidates with Utility Network experience and experience in the electric or gas utility industry.

• Strong understanding of APIs and cloud-native software engineering best practices.

• Experience with automation, optimization, and database management.

• Familiarity with multiple platforms and functional programming concepts.

• Proven ability to turn complex ideas into workable solutions.

• Experience in teaching, mentoring, and leading cross-functional teams.

• Mastery of cybersecurity principles and experience with CI/CD stacks.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
