Job Title: SMT Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated SMT Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating SMT machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires a proactive approach to learning, safety, and communication to achieve production targets and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Become aware of potential workplace hazards such as broken or malfunctioning machines and report any hazards immediately to ensure safety.
Ensure the highest product quality and manufacture products per MPI or Instructions for SMT.
Operate SMT machines, including making machine adjustments and performing tasks from feeder setup through SMT machine operation under direct supervision.
Perform feeder and machine accessory maintenance as necessary.
Monitor consumables for SMT lines and setup.
Work with Stockroom, Engineering, Programming, and Quality to ensure SMT produces assemblies with the highest quality.
Communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors regarding all aspects of the job, report problems, and offer solutions when possible.
Provide complete, accurate documentation as required.
Learn and uphold company standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency.
Strive to achieve company-specified production targets.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to maximize safety and productivity, and offer suggestions for workspace improvement if needed.
Operate diverse machines related to the manufacturing process.
Stay up to date on and closely observe assembly and maintenance instructions.
Be proactive about acquiring and maintaining any necessary certifications required for the position.
Inspect equipment, perform maintenance and repairs, and recommend and follow up on machine adjustments to improve performance.
