Coilcraft is a successful, privately held company in Cary, IL with a worldwide reputation for high-quality passive electronic components. We operate in various industries including telecommunications, computers, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics. In this position, you will work in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment to determine and translate customer needs into effective design solutions. The position will be at our corporate headquarters in Cary, Illinois with frequent travel to India.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform product research, design, development, and quality improvements. Define and develop prototypes taking into account customer specifications, quality, manufacturability, costs, and completion time.
• Interface with sales and marketing to determine customer specifications for new designs and research electronic components to meet market needs.
• Give concise and informative demos/presentations about design concepts to other team members or managers.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend solutions for design and process improvements.
• Coordinate and collaborate with global teams at various locations.
• Act as engineering contact for a completed product.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s or Associate\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology.
• 7-10+ years of experience in a design role for passive electronic components.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Ability to travel frequently to India and collaborate with relevant teams.
• Good understanding of product safety, environmental testing, and EMC advantages.
• Strong knowledge of electronics fundamentals and principles.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
• Creative and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
