As a Construction Work Package Owner, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate EI&C Construction WPO Professional in Wilson, NC who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo.

Some responsibilities include:
• Hosts weekly meetings with the Subcontractor and takes suitable notes. Aligns with Subcontract Administrator to ensure all items captured accurately. Distributes MM after each meeting to attendees
• Ensures that Subcontractor has latest version of all technical documents, including PIDs and specifications, and other construction installation drawings
• Reviews all RFI’s & submittals assuring completeness prior to Subcontractor submission.
• Monitors return of RFIs and Submittals from the Subcontractor, and expedites assistance from engineering disciplines as required
• Visits Subcontractor fabrication shops as required to expedite material deliveries and verify work in progress
• Works with Construction Management and field superintendent to ensure material deliveries are sequenced and coordinated
• Monitors Subcontractor’s schedule on a weekly basis and escalates any issues to the ACM and Subcontracts Administrator, Works closely with the field superintendents, and project controls to track progress measurements
• In conjunction with the Subcontracts Administrator, evaluates potential changes, including identified but not yet priced and unit rate to IFC pricing. Coordinates with the Subcontractor, Subcontracts Administrator, and project cost control to ensure changes get processed promptly into Prolog.
• Reviews, coordinates any changes required, and approves pay applications before they get presented to the ACM for final approval
• Assists with the development of Value Engineering ideas that pertain to that discipline
• Provide assistance to Subcontract Administration on commercial matters, as applicable
• Ensures subcontractor Turn Over documents are uploaded promptly into ACC as work is progressed
• Works closely with Subcontracts Administration, Project Controls, Accounting, Quality and Turn over to ensure efficient close out of the Subcontract
• Retains overall ownership of work package from inception to contract close out, including but not limited to pre-award PPTR updates, potential change notices, schedule adherence supervision, field supervision coordination, and ensuring Supply Chain is up to date on all activities.
• Notifies any potential claims issues to subcontract administrator
• Responsible for reviewing all Subcontractor Daily Reporting into the software system
• 15+ years of experience in managing construction projects related to Life Science and/or Pharmaceutical Production Facility Construction.
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of EI&C Systems, to include Delta V and BMS
• Experience leading contractors and Superintendents for current scope, engineering information, and document drawings/specifications for construction execution.
• Ability to manage EI&C scopes of work from the initial Bid Phase, through Execution, turnover, and close out of the Subcontract
• Experience in monitoring project budgets to ensure project requirements are met.
Ideally you'll have:
• Experienced working with Engineering and Subcontracting to develop scopes of work for EI&C related bid packages
• Liaise between Subcontracts Department and Engineering assuring that all Engineering requirements are met as they relate to the Bid Phase process along with any changes / additions to the Bid Phase documents.
• Ensures technical bids conform to intent of Bid, including identification of gaps and any not yet bought and scope exceptions
