Position Summary
Advise the Site Management team in all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment.
Develop and drive SHE initiatives leading to continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance (reduction in pain and suffering to the company’s employees) and Environmental performance (reduction in contamination and resource utilization).
A day in the life of...
• HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT- Lead
o Advise the Site Management Team (Factory, Head office, DC managers) in all aspects of Health, Safety matters.
o Assist the Site Management Team in development of a long-term plan to deliver site safety and environment objectives
o Initiate and lead SHE projects to assist in delivery of site objectives (including being the site champion in the culture change process)
o Lead the site risk assessment process ensuring risks are identified and control measures implemented proactively to reduce risks of accidents and ill-health and environment impacts.
o Lead Site Accident Investigation team ensuring identification of root causes
o Provide data, support, and advice to the Site Management Team to improve decision making
o Responsible for Waste (Legal requirement)
• COMPLIANCE
o Through knowledge of national legislation, codes of practice and company policy, ensure that the Site SHE Management system delivers legal and business compliance.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
o Manage an effective audit program to identify non-compliance and action for continuous improvement. In addition will participate in audits at other business locations
o Encourage cross fertilization by active communication with the NPP European Safety and Environment coordinators (Data’s, incidents, best practices, …) to maximize development of new initiatives and improved performance.
o Use NCE processes to assure an effective communication, engagement, and root cause elimination (Operational reviews, cascading, everyday coaching)
o SHE Pillar Leader in TPM Organization
• CULTURE DEVELOPMENT
o Develop and implement communication systems to ensure optimum awareness across the site of health, safety, and environment matters
What will make you successful
• Technician for the Prevention of Occupational Risks.
• Studies / Knowledge in Environmental Sciences.
• Knowledge of Legislation and Labor relations
• Minim. 5 years of experience in safety
• Advanced level of english
• MS Office (Access is a plus)
• Training and Employee Management tools
