Job Title: Form Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking skilled concrete form carpenters with experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the formwork requirements. The ideal candidate will measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials such as wood, metal, and plastic. You will install formwork for various concrete structures including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs, ensuring that the formwork is properly aligned, leveled, and secured. Additionally, you will pour, spread, and smooth concrete within the formwork, remove formwork once the concrete has set and cured, inspect and repair formwork as needed, and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the job site.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine formwork requirements.

  • Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials such as wood, metal, and plastic.

  • Install formwork for various concrete structures including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.

  • Ensure that formwork is properly aligned, leveled, and secured.

  • Pour, spread, and smooth concrete within the formwork.

  • Remove formwork once the concrete has set and cured.

  • Inspect and repair formwork as needed.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the job site.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in concrete form carpentry.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and assembling formwork materials.

  • Experience in installing formwork for various concrete structures including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.

  • Skill in pouring, spreading, and smoothing concrete.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures on the job site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience on large commercial projects or data centers is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be working outdoors. When pouring concrete, you may be onsite as early as 4AM. On days that concrete is not being poured, the typical schedule is Monday to Friday from 7AM to 5PM and Saturday from 7AM to 2PM. The typical workweek is 58-60 hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Castroville, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00
