We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The role involves managing the accounts receivable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely recording and collection of receivables, and collaborating with other departments to resolve any discrepancies. Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Oversee the management of all tasks related to accounts receivables including billing and posting of customer payments

• Reconcile expenses to the general ledger and prepare customer statements, bills, and invoices

• Regularly review and ensure compliance with accounts receivable aging reports

• Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries

• Maintain accurate records by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions in the accounting system

• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on past due balances

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service department to resolve any discrepancies

• Provide monthly financial and management reports

• Use accounting software and spreadsheet software to manage and organize data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with a special focus on accounts receivables.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

• In-depth understanding of accounting procedures and timeframes.

• Excellent data entry skills, accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

• Strong communication skills.
