Robert Half is looking for a skilled and collaborative Software Developer to join a local company in the Cedar Rapids area. This is a great opportunity to really make an impact and have you ideas of voice heard, as you help lead them to more innovative technology solutions and help them continue to be a market leader. This company is in a serious growth mode with exciting things ahead! In this role, you'll design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that address real business challenges. You’ll actively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to create meaningful impact through innovation and continuous improvement. The ideal person this company is looking for has a tenacious energy, passionate about learning the business, and prideful in the sense of ownership they have and impact they can make.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain software applications, customizations, and system integrations.

• Develop scalable, well-documented RESTful APIs and adhere to REST design principles.

• Code in Java, Python, or any object oriented programming within a cloud framework

• Apply database expertise using Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres

• Leverage containerization tools such as Docker

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address business needs effectively.

• Prioritize security and best practices in all software development processes.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, technical education, or equivalent experience; 3+ years in a relevant role.

• Proficiency in object oriented programming, with demonstrated experience in learning new programming languages

• Understand the Azure cloud environment

• Knowledge of ERP applications and custom integrations

• Experience with integrating diverse software applications and troubleshooting.

• Exceptional problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative team player.
