How you make a difference

The Social Worker Licensed Certified, reporting to the Manager of Rehab Program, will oversee social work activities including screening, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as brief therapy and crisis intervention for patients. This position ensures compliance with licensure standards, as well as state and federal regulations, while providing high-quality care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate work assignments, provide technical assistance, and develop program plans in accordance with laws, regulations, and certification standards.

• Conduct intake evaluations, assess treatment needs, and provide mental health services to patients within the jail setting, including medication management and crisis intervention.

• Participate in treatment team meetings, CQI/QA studies, and staff training on mental health topics.

• Document findings in patient records, comply with safety policies and procedures, and participate in peer review activities.

• Assist in the interview process, orientation, and training of new employees, and provide performance evaluations and training for direct reports

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• The equivalent of a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an Accredited Social Work Program

Experience

• Three years of supervised social work experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Licensed or license-eligible as a Certified Masters Social Worker by the Social Work Licensing Board
