Aerotek is seeking aircraft structures mechanics in Central Point, OR. Pay range $30-50/hour DOE, per diem available. Must be comfortable performing a structures test on or before the first day. Must have own tools - basic hand tools minimum.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Structures Mechanic to take on heavy maintenance and build-up/refurbishment of heavy-lift commercial operations helicopters (S64). The ideal candidate will utilize blueprints to perform repairs by riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, and installing structural components. Tasks will be assigned based on individual abilities such as fabrication and installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy maintenance and refurbishment of S64 helicopters.

• Utilize blueprints to perform sheet metal repairs including riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting.

• Install structural components as required.

• Fabricate parts and components as needed based on skill set.

Essential Skills

• Experience with structures, sheet metal, and aircraft repairs.

• Ability to perform sheet metal repairs including drilling, cutting, bending, countersinking, and riveting.

• Experience with helicopter maintenance and aviation.

• Proficiency in reading and utilizing blueprints for repair and installation tasks.

• 5+ years of experience preferred, but open to candidates with lower experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be comfortable performing a structures test on or before the first day.

• Must have own tools - basic hand tools minimum.

• A&P certification preferred but not required.

• The facilities include civilian and military shop hangars, and an advanced electronic tool crib with access to various tools.

• The position requires working a day shift: Monday to Thursday 6 AM - 4 PM and Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM.
