JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC openings for Information Technology (IT) Service Management (ITSM) Systems Engineers with experience within the ITIL domains of Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, and Service Operation. A strong working understanding of ITSM practices, such as ITIL, CMMI, and SAFe is a must as candidates will be required to develop specific ITSM strategies, processes, governance, and communications plans used to direct the service delivery efforts of service delivery vendors.
US Citizenship required. Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Poly is required to start and must be maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate must be able to:
Identify service delivery deficiencies and create new structures to mature service delivery offerings
Analyze internal/external priorities, establish service objectives, align the services with customer desired outcomes, and prioritize multi-year investments
Leverage strong oral and written communications skills to collect, document, track, and clearly communicate concise delivery observations on multiple, concurrent activities
Oversee program increments (scrums) to ensure the customer’s priorities are understood, ordered, and delivered by servicer deliver vendors
Provide assessments and Courses of Action (COA) recommendations in written and oral presentations to Program Office personnel that detail the intended/unintended effects of proposed changes
Review service provider Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and other contract management products to guide cost, schedule, and performance objectives
Mentor other Program Office personnel on appropriate ITSM practice implementations
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Within a STEM field of study: Bachelor degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
Must be a US Citizen
Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph
Demonstrated knowledge of ITSM practices.
Advanced ITIL v3, or 4 related certifications (ITIL Expert/Master, ITIL Strategic Leader, etc.) preferred.
The ability to work proactively, independently, and/or as a member of a highly effective technical team in a fast-paced work environment while developing approaches.
Strong communication skills, including ability to provide written and oral presentations to audiences from a diverse set of backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Systems Engineeringand other Program Management tools.
Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Scaled Agile Framework for enterprise (SAFe) preferred.
