Koniag Government Services is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to support the KGS Security Team in Chantilly, Virginia. Hybrid opportunity is available for this position.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Understanding of corporate and government security programs, requirements, and duties.
Establish, implement, manage, and maintain action tracker tools to support security enterprise function requirements.
Manage security action items to track due dates, distribute notifications before action items are due, and ensure completion by due dates.
Provide daily monitoring and distribution of security group email communications, including prioritizing tasks, sending out notifications, and following up on overdue items.
Provide security administration support involving maintaining up-to-date and accurate records, calendar scheduling, training events, meetings, and other security administrative duties.
Create security reporting processes for weekly and monthly dashboards, program facility security support, security data calls, security presentations and briefings, and related company-wide communications.
Assist with creating security training programs and awareness campaigns to foster a culture of security awareness and operational security.
Assist with updating, maintaining, or developing documentation, such as standard operating procedures and policies across all security disciplines.
Maintain personnel security rosters, organizational team charts, and tables of organization.
Perform other duties within the Industrial, Physical, Personnel, and Information Security Programs, as needed.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, assign tasks, accept instructions and handle various assignments, whether planned or unexpected.
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations and briefings.
Organization and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and to complete a wide variety of tasks, sometimes involving complex or challenging conditions within set deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with team members, employees, and customers.
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and professionally.
Computer literacy, with thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and others.
Bachelor’s degree, however, will consider substituting education with equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
A minimum of five (5) years of related experience is highly preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to pass a government background investigation for a Secret clearance or higher.
Active Secret personnel clearance preferred but not required at the time of hiring.
