Koniag Data Solutions,LLC, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Senior.NET Developer with a Secret clearance to support KDS and our government customer. This is a Remote opportunity.

Provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems. Uses expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug MS Azure-based systems.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and train on PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS solutions in the Azure environment.

  • Responsible for application development in support of overseas automation and business processes.

  • Responsible for cloud architecture, development, and design to include Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCS, or other cloud service.

  • Setup new cloud resources and, when necessary, partner organizations, as required.

  • Responsible for supporting, updating, and securing new and existing applications.

  • Serve as liaison between senior management and users of its many business units to include overseas environments.

  • Lead development projects in an agile environment and host bi-weekly sprint meetings, clearly and effectively communicating with a variety of stakeholders to gather requirements and process feedback throughout the SDLC

  • Design and create web-based forms. Implement workflow to automate administrative processes.

  • Design and develop advanced reporting capabilities.

  • Design APIs for integrating with both external and internal applications.

  • Technical support in all facets of web technology from site planning, design, development, and maintenance to working with database engineers on database connections, data repositories, etc.

  • Responsible for source code management, including branching, merging, and code reviews.

  • Prepare certification and accreditation materials for required applications.

  • Provide technical consulting to include performing requirements analysis, providing solution options, providing plans for implementing options and performing implementation strategy and developing implementation schedules for network-based projects.

  • Provide specialized training to other technical staff as required.

  • Assist in analyzing the administrative processes and programs relevant to Dept. of State systems assets.

  • Show experience working with challenging environments and diverse workforces as a majority of the application deployment will be at overseas Missions.

  • Evaluate, select, and guide the implementation of secure Cloud-based SaaS and PaaS solutions for use in a Federal enterprise via the FEDRAMP and agency Information Assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

  • 7+ years relevant experience Knowledge of government standards for cyber security and information assurance, including encryption standards and the federal enterprise architecture (FEA) (required).

  • 7+ years of experience in the use of .NET Core, .NET MVC, Visual Studio, GIT, and applications (Required).

  • 7+ years of experience programming with C#, .NET, JAVASCRIPT, HTML, CSS and other coding languages for the development of web-based applications.

  • Knowledge of SQL and noSQL technology including legacy and cloud hosted databases (required).

  • Experience with source code management using Azure DevOps and Git (required).

  • Experience using tools like Atlassian Jira, Azure DevOps, and Zendesk for managing the software development lifecycle (preferred).

  • Experience with iOS development using Flutter or React Native (preferred).

  • Experience with ServiceNow development (preferred).

  • Experience leading agile development projects

  • Experience in overseas US Government software development projects with remote teams across different countries and continents, and to have Department of State specific experience working with overseas mission staff. Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services.

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud productivity suites, including Microsoft’s Office 365 and Google G-Suite.

  • Demonstrated experience in web administration, network administration and server security in a Microsoft environment

  • Internet Information Server environment (required).

  • Demonstrated experience with the technical and conceptual environment of web development, especially with tools relevant to interface design, the creation of interactive web pages, database connections, interactivity, and the creation of customized graphic images.

  • Training in the use of MS Project and MS Visio (required).

  • The ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences (required)

  • Ability to use web-based tracking systems for incident tracking and project management.

  • Extensive experience with backup/disaster recovery planning and implementation.

  • Extensive experience with web CMS, including WordPress, SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint online.

  • Experience using PC workstation operations in a Microsoft Office environment including MS Internet Explorer, MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint Designer, etc., as well as knowledge of Windows 10 Professional system internals such as the registry (required)

  • Experience with popular web browsers including Google Chrome, FireFox and Apple Safari (required).

  • Ideal candidate will possess Azure-related certification(s) such as “Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate” (AZ-204)

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Clearance:

  • Active Secret clearance is required

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
