About The Role

Brighton Health Plan Solutions is looking for a Implementation Manager with experience managing a complex, program of strategic projects that span organizational boundaries, manages multiple high-risk projects, including projects involving external vendors and multiple business areas that have a significant legal and/or financial impact to Company’s Business.  This individual should have hands on experience in setting and managing large complex projects in Healthcare Insurance across business, operational, and IT teams, spanning one or more work streams, including: Client Implementation, Enrollment & Eligibility, Claims processing & Reimbursements, Member/Provider self-service, Customer Service, Legal etc.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of corporate initiatives, the full Project Management Life Cycle and delivery process to ensure compliance with organization goals and timelines.

  • Identifying, documenting and ongoing management of project requirements.

  • Maintaining and delivering consistent communication on the status of project with appropriate stakeholders (internal and external).

  • Performs technical tasks such as creating business requirements documents, user training manuals and guides, and requirements traceability matrices.  

  • Facilitates project management related questions and refers technical/business questions to appropriate subject matter experts.  

  • Manages and is responsible for all aspects of the project to include risk management, process improvement, and operational and technology implementation to meet the future goals and objectives prioritized by Senior Management.

  • Communication skills are required to persuade, gain cooperation, provide formal presentations to various sized groups and to reach consensus and resolve conflict.

  • Excellent written skills are required to prepare reports/documents for internal presentations as well as presentation to various Senior Leadership committees.

  • Program Management:

  • Assist in the management of the full project management life cycle for the implementation of highly complex, large scale, strategic business Initiatives and client implementations, ensuring all requirements are captured, and implemented accordingly.

  • Provides support to the Implementation Leadership in performing all client implementations, including needs analysis of the relevant business areas and in matching user needs to system capabilities to ensure the new system is easily and quickly integrated into the client’s business environment.  Provides oversight to resources assigned to the program’s projects.  Works with Management to mitigate potential risks and project dependencies. Serves as a liaison between the internal or external partners to ensure cohesiveness between the teams.

  • Works with the Business areas in the Operational Readiness activities to provide support and coordination to ensure adoption of new systems and business processes in the Company environment. 

  • Provides regular updates to Leadership, project sponsor and stakeholders on the status of the projects and reasons for delay or missed milestones.

    Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.

  • 4+ years of project management experience (with 2+ years in Healthcare Insurance preferably) in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of process and systems.  Previous project management experience in a dynamic high-technology environment is a key to success in this position. 

  • Experience in Program Management and execution of multiple related development projects simultaneously, particularly as Project Manager on systems development, with working knowledge of  Systems Development Lifecycle and the Project Management Lifecycle.

  • Project Management certificate (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) a plus.

  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and persuade customers, employees, and management at all levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment. 

  • Excellent oral and written communications; an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.

  • Strong management, business planning, and development skills.

  • Exceptional program management skills and project management skills, effectively arranging resources

  • Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

  • Competent in the Microsoft Suite of tools such as MS project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
