PURPOSE :
A startup minded technologist that guides and manages Wondr’s Cloud Operations. Reporting to the CTO, this hands-on leader will oversee our entire cloud services infrastructure and provide technical guidance, architecture and operational support to our team of engineers responsible for building, scaling, monitoring and maintaining our product infrastructure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Oversee the strategic direction of Wondr’s cloud architecture, implementation and management of cloud services to ensure it aligns with business goals.
Represents Wondr Health in Infrastructure Engineering, providing technical expertise and judgment for projects, solutions, and staff. Serves as the liaison for the infrastructure engineering functions with other areas of Wondr Health IT, programs, departments, and outside vendors/partners.
Implement and support CI/CD systems treating infrastructure as code and enabling the rest of the engineers to quickly and reliably test and deploy their services.
Continuously improve our monitoring and observability capabilities while proactively identifying potential risks to the IT infrastructure and develop mitigation strategies for continuity and reliability of services.
Responsible for scale and uptime of cloud services.
Facilitate monthly operation review meetings to discuss key metrics, RCAs and costs.
Experimentation with new cloud services that enable better scale and/or stability.
Collaborating with the software engineering teams to support product roadmap activities.
Operate within a broader leadership team responsible for product engineering. Act as a lead resource for resolving complex technology and process problems.
Lead and inspire a talented team of engineers and architects.
Partnering with our IT & Security team to ensure compliance with SOC-2 and HITRUST standards.
Responsible for cost containment of our cloud infrastructure and striking the balance between engineering Disneyland and the realities of running a fiscally responsible business.
Actively fend off magic man status and build systems that enable teammates to accomplish their goals on their own.
Responsible for directing teammates on prioritization while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Receiving, sharing and responding to feedback from folks throughout the company to help us provide great support and services.
Balance technical feasibility and business priorities and coach teams through these tradeoffs.
Lead failure analysis discussions to make our systems and processes better and more fault tolerant.
Plans, direct, control and evaluate forecasts budgets to achieve financial objectives. Forecast operating costs for area of scope and responsibility and prepare budget.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering,
Business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work
experience
Experience:
10+ years proven relevant experience in Infrastructure systems engineering
Experience escalating risks to senior technology or business leadership
Experience setting strategy and providing guidance to IT and business staff.
