Robert Half Benefits Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract for permanent employment opportunity for a Benefits Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing all aspects of employee benefits and maintaining compliance with relevant federal and state laws. You will oversee benefits administration, employee inquiries, and ensure accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for all employee benefits-related queries, providing timely, accurate, and helpful responses.

• Manage a variety of benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Life, AD& D, LTD, FSA, HSA, retirement plans, and voluntary benefit offerings.

• Facilitate annual open enrollment, including conducting employee information sessions, preparing and distributing benefit communications, and updating intranet pages.

• Conduct orientations for new employees, explaining the benefits self-enrollment system.

• Act as a resource for employees on leave of absence matters, ensuring compliance with FMLA, Parental Leave, and other policies with our third-party administrator.

• Ensure accurate and timely entry of benefits changes.

• Run monthly reports and remit retirement funds bi-monthly.

• Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate deductions and FMLA leave.

• Maintain current knowledge of all federal and state employment laws related to benefits administration.

• Undertake additional duties and special projects as required to meet department or business needs. Requirements • Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now software.

• Demonstrated ability in auditing, particularly in the context of benefits administration.

• Comprehensive understanding of benefit functions and their role within a company.

• Experience in Cobra Administration is essential.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Familiarity with various benefit packages and their administration.

• Proven track record in benefits administration and coordination.

• Knowledge and experience in managing an Employee Benefit Plan.

• Ability to understand and manage insurance benefits.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical benefits.

• Familiarity with HR compliance and its application in benefits management. TalentMatch®
