In this role, you will:
Lead teams by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
Interpret and develop business strategy and range of policies and procedures for defined areas to improve data consistency and controls
Ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structures for defined area
Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and manage the functional budget
Collaborate and influence decision-making at all levels of professionals including senior leadership
Partner with the revenue areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, or controls
Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
8+ years experience with Big Data Technologies, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, or managing Data at Scale on prem and on the public cloud
5+ years experience with Public, Private, Hybrid Cloud - preferably Google Cloud (GCP) and/or Azure
5+ years of experience with large scale data migration from on prem to the Cloud, preferably GCP
8+ years of management or leadership experience
Certifications in GCP or Azure data warehousing platforms, eg BigQuery
Experience with diverse data platforms including Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Big Query, Hadoop MapR
Experience with diverse BI stacks, such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker
Experience with analysis and implementation of Cloud-first vs on prem strategies
Experience establishing and maturing data management metrics programs
Successful experience leading data strategy execution including: establishing leadership support, building stakeholder network, forming and collaborating with a team, defining execution roadmaps, establishing a cadence of execution, and operational/organizational process design and transition planning
Experience leading corporation through transition of data assets and analytics to the cloud including: Cloud Business Model Definition, outlining Product/Services, operating model, Defining migration strategy and approach, Collaborating on current and target reference architecture, defining a financial cost allocation model, defining user Enablement Strategy, Plan and Approach
Experience with risk management and working in highly regulated industries, Financial industry experience preferred
Innovative mindset, comfortable in operating in nebulous environments and defining structured approaches
