Omnicell Director, Health Systems - Conversions in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Director of Conversion Accounts plays a critical role in Omnicell’s sales transformation, driving the adoption of Omnicell’s solutions within new healthcare system clients. You will be responsible for overseeing a business unit focused on converting healthcare organizations from competitor solutions to Omnicell’s integrated offerings. This role requires strategic vision, exceptional leadership, and the ability to execute solution-driven sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Design and execute strategies to drive account conversions, ensuring alignment with Omnicell’s organizational goals.

  • Lead a team of 5-8 sales professionals dedicated to securing new clients and fostering long-term relationships.

  • Embrace continuous improvement by seeking feedback, adapting strategies, and addressing challenges proactively.

Client Engagement:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with prospective healthcare system clients, acting as a trusted advisor in their transition to Omnicell solutions.

  • Develop customized conversion plans that address specific client needs and demonstrate ROI.

  • Adapt communication styles to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and build consensus.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and empower high-performing sales professionals skilled in solution selling.

  • Create a culture of accountability and collaboration, ensuring team members feel valued and motivated.

  • Promote learning through challenging experiences and leverage mistakes as opportunities for growth.

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage sales processes, from lead generation through negotiation and closing, ensuring seamless transitions for new clients.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management to track progress and achieve conversion goals

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Legal, and Professional Services, to deliver tailored solutions.

Innovation and Market Insights:

  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor offerings to position Omnicell’s solutions effectively.

  • Gather and share client feedback to inform product development and innovation.

  • Encourage creative problem-solving to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales leadership.

  • Proven ability to secure and grow high-value accounts in competitive markets.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in solution selling or account conversion strategies.

  • Experience in leading teams focused on competitive conversions within healthcare or capital equipment industries.

  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and technology integration.

Work Environment:

  • 70% travel to engage prospective clients and support sales initiatives.

  • Remote role with flexibility to manage across time zones.
