Director of Data and GenAI Program Management - Information Technology

Honeywell is seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead our efforts in transforming commercial and digital experiences across our platforms, with a special focus on sales, marketing and e-commerce. This role is pivotal in driving AI strategy, implementation, and innovation, ensuring Honeywell stays at the forefront of technology and continues to deliver exceptional, seamless, and personalized customer experiences.

As an Artificial Intelligence Director - Information Technology at Honeywell, you will provide strategic leadership & development of AI technologies within the Information Technology department. You will set goals and objectives aligned with the company's vision and collaborate with C-level executives to integrate AI into the overall IT strategy. Your role will involve driving research, development, execution and implementation of initiatives to explore new AI technologies and methodologies specifically for IT applications. You will report directly to our VP, IT for Commercial Excellence and you'll work out of our California location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI technology within the IT department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy Development, Execution and Implementation: Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive AI strategy focused on enhancing commercial and digital experiences, including but not limited to e-commerce platforms, sales, marketing, customer service, and personalization strategies.

  • Innovation and Research: Stay ahead of AI trends and developments, applying cutting-edge AI technologies to solve complex business challenges and create new opportunities for growth and efficiency.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with various teams including IT, Marketing, Sales, and external partners to integrate AI solutions that enhance customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.

  • AI Governance and Ethics: Apply guidelines and practices for the ethical use of AI, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards and promoting trust among customers and stakeholders.

  • Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives in enhancing customer experiences and achieving business objectives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for AI initiatives within the organization, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in and ensure alignment with broader business goals. Collaborate with C-level executives and IT leaders to identify AI opportunities and develop implementation plans

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years of experience in high-level oversight of engineering and technology teams

  • Proven experience in leadership roles with a focus on AI strategy and implementation in the IT field

  • Strong expertise in machine learning and deep learning technology

  • Strong understanding of the latest AI technologies and their applications in improving customer experiences and business processes

  • Excellent leadership and communication, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders

  • Demonstrated success in leading large, diverse teams in complex IT project

  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for innovation.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another related field

  • A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch

  • Experience with deploying AI models in real-world, production environments within the IT domain

  • Familiarity with industry-specific applications of AI in IT, such as cybersecurity, data analytics, and automation

  • Experience working in an agile development environment

  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capability
