Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Fund Accountant in Charlotte, North Carolina. The job function revolves around performing accounting and finance tasks, maintaining general and sub-ledgers, preparing and reviewing trial balances, and assisting with the close process on a regular basis. This role operates within the finance industry and is based in a detail-oriented workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
• Execute accounting and finance operations for the company and related entities.
• Uphold the integrity of the general ledger and various sub-ledgers, as needed.
• Develop and review trial balances to ensure financial accuracy.
• Provide assistance in the completion of monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
• Contribute to the annual audit process across multiple entities in the organizational structure.
• Compile internal management reports for review and analysis.
• Collaborate effectively with Finance, Capital Markets, and Treasury teams on a daily basis.
• Oversee the timing and quality of both internal and external deliverables to maintain high service standards.
• Generate financial performance metrics for business insights.
• Engage with senior management to present and discuss financial results, fostering transparency and open communication.
• Take initiative in coordinating and communicating across internal groups to foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements • Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accountant role or similar is required.
• Proficiency in General Ledger management is necessary.
• The ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation with accuracy is crucial.
• Experience in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Knowledge and experience in performing Month End Close activities is needed.
• Familiarity with Month-end Close Activities is expected.
• Proficiency in MRI and MRI Software is necessary.
• Excellent skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting are required.
