Title: Project Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: Direct Hire

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project engineering. If your experience includes electrical or gas product design and certification - this is a plus

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering

• The candidate must have hands - on electrical experience

• The candidate should have some experience with designing and testing products. Does not necessarily have to be HVAC related, would be preferred though.

  Responsibilities:

• Design new products in accordance with product proposals under the direction of the Chief Engineer.

• Redesign and modify existing products as directed by the Product Planning Committee. This includes hands - on work in Engineering lab to confirm findings.

• Create drawings of new products and edit existing drawings using Solid Works.

• Create/modify supporting documentations of products such as installation manual, labels, brochures, various instructions, etc.

• Ensure electrical wiring and controls meet safety requirements.

• Facilitate the construction and testing of prototypes.

• Ensure that all Engineering tests are documented and recorded in accordance with the Engineering lab manual.

• Ensure that all products comply with applicable construction, design and safety standards.

• Prepare agency submittal information of all new equipment and alternate construction to existing products.
