The Construction Materials Testing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction materials testing projects. This includes ensuring compliance with project specifications, managing project timelines, and coordinating with clients, technicians, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities
Obtain and review project specifications and plan submittals.
Attend preconstruction and progress meetings as required.
Ensure technicians have all necessary information and tools to complete projects.
Maintain thorough documentation throughout the project, including test reports and personnel records.
Review and approve test results and project reports.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Identify areas of concern and propose solutions.
Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address any issues.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management and construction materials testing.
Strong understanding of construction materials testing procedures and requirements.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in industry-specific software (e.g., SpectraQest).
Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, etc.).
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., ACI, NICET) are a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment primarily consists of office work with some field functions (80/20). The role may require moderate physical activity such as standing, lifting, walking, and bending. The position offers competitive pay above market rates, pay increases based on performance and certifications, quarterly bonuses, certification facilitation, and future ownership potential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $44.00/hr.
