Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist
As a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving the end-to-end cycle of strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier management. A key aspect of this role will be managing and ensuring compliance with subcontract licenses for our projects. You will be responsible for evaluating and confirming the necessary licenses and permits required for subcontractors to perform their work, developing and implementing sourcing strategies, conducting supplier evaluations, negotiating contracts, drafting statements of work, and managing supplier relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement best practices and contracting, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to drive cost savings and process improvements.
In this role, you will impact the company by ensuring that all subcontractors have the necessary licenses and permits to perform their work, optimizing costs, quality, and delivery performance through strategic sourcing initiatives, driving supplier performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate subcontractor license requirements for each project
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure license compliance, optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance
Maintain accurate records of all license requirements and corresponding subcontractor licenses
Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify and onboard strategic suppliers
Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to ensure favorable terms and conditions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and supply chain efficiencies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risks and ensure compliance
Drive and execute annual and strategic plan with supporting strategies
Right and fast execution of strategies to align with business growth and new product introductions
Manage commodity strategies including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost, market analysis and global technology / economic trends
Create and negotiate long-term contracts and project-based statements of work to ensure best combination of price, quality, and delivery
Ensure relationship development and management with key supplier leaderships
Align with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality and other Honeywell businesses
Manage supplier selection, RFQ and RFP process, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance processes
Improve working capital through payment terms extensions and payment cycle optimization, vendor managed inventories inventory and lead time reductions
MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree
4+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
Ability to independently assess and comprehend license and regulatory requirements
Strong negotiation skills and processes
Ability to independently lead sourcing projects
Excellent organizational and communication skills

3+ years working in or with sourcing and managing supplier relationships & deliverables
2+ years of complex global commodity management leadership experience
3+ years of experience in license management or regulatory compliance
Direct contract negotiations/contract management experience
Project management experience
Experience working and/or leading in team environments
Experience with Oracle, e-Sourcing platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, and Project Management Tools
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools
Demonstrated business and financial acumen
Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain/ Procurement/Contract Management
Master’s degree
