Siemens Energy Technical Training Specialist / Apprentice Lead LGN in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Technical Training Specialist will coordinate trainings with both internal and external instructors to make all campus employees maintain their certifications and skills needed to work safely and effectively. Manage the campus skill system as well as the Siemens Energy Learning Platform (SELP). Manage campus crane training.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Responsibilities
Lead for Apprenticeship Program:
Bridge the gap between apprentices and the organization, ensuring a successful apprenticeship experience.
Implement and adjust the apprenticeship program to meet business standards and organizational needs.
Manage partnerships with other apprenticeship companies and recruit potential apprentices.
Plan and coordinate events such as Open House, Teacher Lunch and Learn, and Graduation/Signing Ceremony.
Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain records, and provide ongoing support to apprentices.
Secure and manage grants, process payroll, and schedule work and school hours for apprentices.
Training Specialist:
Conduct training in areas such as Root Cause Analysis, Metrics, Metrology, Blueprint Reading, Human Performance, Teamwork, and Plant Safety.
Training Team Finance Coordinator:
Create and submit POs, process goods receipts, maintain logs of classes, charge out classes to Cost Centers, foster connections with external instructors, and make Amazon purchases.
Mentor Lead for Kenan Fellows Program:
Maintain a relationship with the Kenan Fellows Program, interview and select applicants, serve as the main contact, schedule externships, provide orientation, and coordinate shadowing opportunities.
Plant Tours:
Conduct and organize plant tours for guests and school groups, ensuring an educational and engaging experience.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring (requirement
Previous experience running an apprentice program.
Previous training experience
History of working well with others in a collaborative environment.
Effective presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
