Job Description
We manufacture a variety of soaps, detergents, and health & beauty cosmetic products, and we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure our production equipment operates efficiently and meets production goals.
Responsibilities
Respond to maintenance requests and conduct routine maintenance to ensure production equipment achieves production goals.
Conduct changeovers and equipment start-ups quickly to meet or exceed production standards.
Test equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime to ensure readiness without downtime at start-ups.
Minimize 'stop-gap' measures to keep lines and equipment operating efficiently.
Order parts as needed to minimize emergency maintenance and request work orders to ensure equipment uptime.
Measure 'down-time' and debrief others to improve future outcomes.
Respond to all internal customer requests with urgency, with production as the main internal customer of maintenance.
Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule to prevent future downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Contribute knowledge gained from PM tasks to the PM planning process to ensure equipment uptime and efficiency.
Ensure changes in schedules, material availability, and line operations do not prevent PMs from being completed.
Work to improve equipment design to maximize throughput while reducing non-value-added labor.
Administer the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
Enter completed work orders into CMMS, sign parts out to work orders, order and restock parts, and perform other CMMS duties as assigned.
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment and maintenance areas, including administering lock-out tag-out (LOTO) and following GMP rules.
Keep work areas clean and well organized and identify and correct safety issues for the benefit of all employees.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous industrial maintenance experience
Self-sufficient and capable of thinking outside the box when necessary

Work Environment
Our CGMP worksite requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). As we work with consumer products, there may be strong fragrances and smells depending on what is being manufactured.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $72800.00/yr.
