Aston Carter AP Coordinator in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will support internal and external customer requests related to high-volume invoice processing.

Key Job Responsibilities

Duties will include but are not limited to :

• Prioritize and process invoices on a timely basis for all company locations across the US in a shared service center environment

• Use SAP to process a high volume of supplier invoices in accordance with determined deadlines.

• Ensure accuracy of invoices and supporting documentation.

• Communicate discrepancies with internal and external customers.

• Ensure all accounts payable policies and procures are adhered to including travel and related expenses, vendor approval and invoice processing.

• Investigate and resolve basic problems associate with processing invoices.

• Other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience working with an ERP system; SAP experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to use standard office equipment including a computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc.

• Working proficiency in Microsoft office suite, including strong Microsoft excel skills.

• Ability to analyze information and come to a conclusion.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Ability to work with and maintain confidential data. Ability to solve problems.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization.

• Ability to learn new processes. Detail orientated.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Metrics:

  • Start to get constraints post 120 days

  • Everything processed within 90 days, no later than 120 days

  • Production: around 500-600 invoices split amongst team – 100-125/day/each

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable

  • A.S. or B.S. Degree in Accounting (preferred)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Strong data entry skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good communication skills
