We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Front Desk Specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a pivotal part of our healthcare team, you will be tasked with various front office reception and administration duties.

HOURS: 6:45am-4:00pm (9 hours per day) Monday through Friday

Dress Code: Scrubs of any color

Worksite: 100% onsite

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage patient appointments, ensuring clear communication for future bookings.

• Welcome patients and visitors, addressing their inquiries either in person or via telephone.

• Handle sensitive patient data and healthcare information with utmost confidentiality.

• Use EHR SYSTEM and Medisoft for a range of administrative tasks.

• Direct patients to the correct areas for their scheduled appointments.

• Maintain a clean, organized front desk area, ensuring it is always stocked with necessary supplies.

• Assist with insurance procedures and billing tasks.

• Use Microsoft Excel to compile and present data.

• Handle patient check-ins and check-outs and support with patient registration.

• Maintain and manage patient medical records, also responsible for reporting related statistics.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry

• Proficiency in using EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems

• Familiarity with a variety of medical software applications

• Experience with Medisoft software is highly desirable

• Knowledge of insurance procedures and policies related to healthcare

• Experience in contacting patients for appointment scheduling and follow-up

• Proven ability to direct patients within the healthcare facility

• Experience in managing patient check-in and check-out processes
