Citigroup Ops Sup Analyst 1 - C09 in Chennai, India
The Ops Sup Analyst 1 is a position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; reconciliation of GL's, completion of journals basis investigation completed, completing documentation related to the investigations. Additionally, the Ops Sup Analyst 1 serves as the liaison between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, custodians and clients. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.
Responsibilities:
Reconciliation and Resolution of General Ledger outages and supervise escalated issues, providing efficient and effective service to Citi’s clients
Recommending new work procedures to help streamline operations
Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger Reconciliation / Research / Investigation process across multiple applications
Communicate daily with management on productivity, quality, availability, Management Information System (MIS) indicators, as well as providing written and oral communications to supported business areas for approval of correct financial entries and resolution of incorrect entries
Analyze operations information and make evaluative judgements to solve problems
Responsible for identifying and resolving routine problems and operational issues with broader departmental impact within established procedures
Support expansive and diverse array of products and services
Assist with ongoing Lean and process improvement projects
Resolve complex problems based on best practice/precedence, escalating as needed
Serve as a backup for manager, as needed, Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well aseffectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Complete unit level deliverables assigned for the role
Qualifications:
Previous relevant experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work unsupervised and apply problem solve capabilities
Ability to work occasional weekends to support COB testing
Demonstrated analytical skills and mathematical knowledge
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
