General Manager

$180k to $190k a year salary DOE

Monday-Friday, 7AM-5PM (hours will fluctuate depending on production/team needs)

A local, expanding meat production facility is looking for a General Manager to join their team! This position works to plan and direct all aspects of the company’s policies, objectives, and initiatives. Manage and oversee all plant operations including: Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Accounting, Human Resources, Safety, Material Handling and Sanitation. Responsibilities:

• Develop all operations goals to provide the best possible conversion cost to our customers

• Develop annual budgets to ensure costs are in line with expectations

• Develop all quality goals to ensure product quality and food safety goals are met to reduce/eliminate risk to the organization and customers.

• Develop the organization’s risk management and safety needs to ensure the protection of employees and other individuals while minimizing the organization’s exposure to loss and liability.

• Maintain a positive work relationship with external customers and work towards meeting or exceeding the expectations that have been communicated to the company.

• Provide oversight/guidance for adherence to governmental regulations, policies, permits and procedures

• Oversee Management training and development that support the organizational development goals and objectives of the company.

• Oversee sustainability efforts throughout the facility to reduce/eliminate waste, physical items from going to landfill and costs associated with recycling.

• Communicate effectively to leadership team in regards to performance goals, corrective actions, facility capital plan, and risks and issues preventing plan successes.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience within leadership of meat production facilities

• Have an expertise in best practices, procedures, and communication within all facility departments

• Creativity with ideas of how to improve processes and team morale

Benefits & Pay:

• $180k to $190k a year base salary DOE
