Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the retail industry for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Chesapeake, Virginia. In this role, you will be working closely with the Asset Protection team, handling all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payment of bills, and maintaining meticulous records.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing payments and coding to invoices.

• Ensuring all bills for the team are paid promptly and correctly.

• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all transactions.

• Liaising with the AP team for invoice approvals and processing.

• Utilizing accounting software systems to facilitate work processes.

• Taking responsibility for overall accounts payable functions for the team.

• Ensuring all account coding is done correctly and efficiently. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position

• Proficiency in Account Coding, with a thorough understanding of its application in the retail industry

• Demonstrable experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Solid understanding and experience with Accounting Functions, especially in the context of retail operations

• Proven expertise in managing and processing Accounts Payable (AP)

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
