About the Role:

Confluent is looking for an innovative Internal Communications Manager - Technology to drive communication strategies across our product department and uplevel our technical acumen within our Internal Communications team. This role is crucial for enhancing collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement among our teams. The ideal candidate will develop tailored communication initiatives that promote a culture of innovation and keep our teams informed, aligned, and inspired.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of communications projects, from detailed planning to execution and measurement, and ensuring timely delivery and impactful outcomes.

  • Internalize and translate complicated concepts to build concise communications deliverables and effectively communicate our product vision and customer impact.

  • Create, edit, and distribute engaging content across various channels, tailored to diverse employee audiences.

  • Work closely with departmental heads to understand their communication needs and ensure consistent messaging across the organization.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of internal communication efforts through surveys and performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve outcomes.

What You Will Bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in internal communications, technical communications, or related roles.

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with an ability to distill technical concepts into digestible and engaging content.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing effective communications strategy from start to finish (high level concepts to execution).

  • Ability to distill complex topics and navigate high levels of ambiguity.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

  • The ideal candidate is also an exceptional storyteller with the ability to elevate visibility into key customer narratives.

What Gives You an Edge:

  • Held leadership roles in Tier 1 product launches (e.g. led Internal Comms workstream for launches)

  • Experience in the open source, cloud, or data space

This position has an annual estimated salary of $117,700 - $138,240, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
