Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials to and from production lines. This role includes gathering inventory and delivering it to the lines, taking materials from docks to inventory and from lines to docks, staging, stacking, and wrapping pallets, and getting products ready for shipment. The position involves working half the time in the production area and the other half in the warehouse/shipping area. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials.

• Gather inventory and take it to production lines.

• Transport materials from docks to inventory and from lines to docks.

• Stage, stack, and wrap pallets.

• Prepare products for shipment.

• Load and unload trucks.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years operating sit-down forklift.

• 2+ years operating stand-up forklift for Alsip.

• Experience with RF scanners.

• Experience loading and unloading trucks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is a plus.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions.

• General labor experience.

• Multi-tasking abilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.35
