Summary

Adaptive Designer

The Adaptive Designer will be responsible for solving design challenges, implementing new design systems, and gaining overall client alignment. They will leverage their production and creative design knowledge to streamline the transition from design to production and translate approved designs into unique dieline shapes. Their expertise will be essential in ensuring that packaging designs are innovative, adaptable, and align with brand standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Adapt design to create accurate and high-quality consistent ranges in line with strategic direction.

  • Full understanding of key clients, projects, and their guidelines. Leads larger ranges. Ensuring consistency across full project.

  • Work closely with the Account Team to ensure they have what they need on projects.

  • Proactively engage with wider creative teams to understand ongoing projects. Creates strong and effective internal partnerships with client services and production.

  • Ability to creatively adapt design concepts to new and different die lines.

  • Builds clean and accurate files with an understanding of print process, font and color usage. Ensures packaging designs comply with industry regulations and standards, including labeling requirements.

  • Engaging ideas and solutions that keep the brand guidelines intact and maintain the design direction.

  • Resource to the client service team as project or range guardian.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Direct Reports

    • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

    Indirect Reports

    • Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education Level:Bachelor’s degree Experience Requirements:3-5 years experience in production for packing, experience working in a design agency focusing on package design, advanced knowledge of production file building and printing capabilities, strong knowledge of FDA guidelines and implementation, and expert knowledge of Adobe Suite programs.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Evidence of proficient understanding of print processes and methods.

  • Ability to understand and deliver brief requirements.

  • Strong typographic ability.

  • Build and deliver Equator presentations including awards and content for internal communications and social media.

  • Is an effective team member; supports the team through knowledge in category, creative and production, continual learning.

  • Ability to communicate and listen and value the opinions and direction of others.

  • Mentor colleagues in the understanding of brand history and guidelines.

  • Plan & Align – Takes ownership of personal actions and outcomes and daily deadlines provided by Traffic Manager.
