Hours for this 2nd shift position are 3PM-11:30PM, overtime available on occasion.

Your Role at KIK

Ready to hit the road? Join our team as a CDL driver and play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly! As a dedicated shuttle driver, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer between our manufacturing facility and local warehouse location covering an essential route about an hour away. Your day will be filled with dynamic tasks, from planning the best routes to anticipating production needs and ensuring trailer movements align with the line’s demands.

From picking up trailers at the plant, driving to the 3PL warehouse, and dropping off or backing trailers into spots, to picking up empty trailers and shuttling them back, you’ll ensure a continuous flow. Your yard jockey skills will also come into play as you move trailers within our facility and relocate tank wagons. Need to shuttle to another warehouse nearby to pick up packaging supplies? What You’ll Be Doing

  • Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer between our manufacturing facility and warehouse locations, along with other duties as assigned.

  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes while considering traffic, weather, and delivery schedules.

  • Anticipate the needs of the production line and service them accordingly via trailer movements to required dock door.

  • Manage the trailer movement within the KIK Facility

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, route sheets, and required documentation for compliance purposes.

  • Perform tractor inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips. Maintain accurate records.

  • When directed, operate a forklift truck as necessary.

What You’ll Bring

  • Valid Driver license (clean MVR) and medical card required.

  • A minimum of 5 years commercial driving experience with a current Class A CDL qualification Hazmat and Tanker or X endorsement required

  • May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load and transport goods, experience helpful

  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Able to lift 40 lbs.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a salary of $38.50/hr plus an annual incentive bonus . The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
