Job Description:

Plan, direct, and complete business process control reviews and special projects across the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense, including privacy operations, privacy assurance, SOX compliance and internal audit. Review business processes across multiple risk domains to provide management with an individual assessment of business risk, internal control, and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the process. Work closely with clients and staff to develop client and project risk assessments, implement opportunities, and make recommendations regarding business and IT process optimization, profit improvement, cost reduction, fraud prevention, internal control, and compliance. Prepare operational or risk reports for management analysis. Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals. Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and other thought leadership material. Oversee day-to-day practice and client administrative matters, such as billing, performance reviews, client acceptance, and engagement letter preparation. Work with the National Business Risk Services (BRS) practice teams in terms of practice directions and leadership. Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management. Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence. Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. Strategize practice enhancements and implement and manage change. Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients. Establish and maintain relationships with individual or business customers and provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter. Utilize established network of business relationships within industry groups to generate new sales. Work closely with partners and staff and play a key role in client management, practice development, and business development. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform services. Coach, mentor, and develop team members, to help foster team members’ professional growth and develop top performers. Recruit staff members. Work closely with partners and other team members to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues. Supervise 3-6 subordinate employees per engagement in the roles of Manager, Senior Associate, and Associate.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field, or the foreign degree equivalent, plus 10 years of progressively more responsible relevant experience as a Senior Internal Audit Manager, Financial Manager, Internal Auditor, or an alternate related acceptable occupation. Work or academic experience must have included: (1) Managing multiple senior level clients through financial advisory services at an international level; (2) Internal audit experience in the banking sector with a global banking organization; (3) Conducting internal audit risk assessments to inform the development of an audit universe and annual audit plan, and tabling the internal audit risk assessment and internal audit plan for review and approval by the Audit Committee and other governance committees; (4) Overseeing the execution of high-quality internal audit engagements in alignment with approved annual audit plans and communicating audit results to the Audit Committee and other governance committees; (5) Managing an internal audit team and ensuring it was appropriately staffed with the right level of skills and experience and monitoring performance of the team against preset performance indicators; (6) Performing independent reviews of risk management maturity for financial and non-financial risk types, including the development of risk management maturity models, and communicating results or risk management maturity assessments to the Audit Committee and other governance bodies; (7) Performing agreed-upon-procedure type reviews based on requests received from Banking Regulators and reporting results thereof. Certificate as a Chartered Accountant or CPA, and Certificate as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) required. 15% – 20% travel to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. as needed by the business. May work remotely.

Compensation for position: $219,752 – $230,000/year
