Job Title: Stationary Engineer
Job Description
Operate and maintain the boilers, compressors, chillers, and HVAC systems. Assist in the installation of packaging and production equipment, including vertical and horizontal packaging equipment. Utilize the CMMS system to order parts, track work orders, and complete orders. Make appropriate adjustments to the equipment used in the process to maintain required steam quality and maximize efficiency. Immediately report any accidents or hazardous incidents and prepare the plant for maintenance using proper LOTO and SWP procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain boilers, compressors, chillers, and HVAC systems.
Install and maintain vertical and horizontal packaging equipment.
Utilize the CMMS system to order parts and track and complete work orders.
Adjust equipment to maintain steam quality and maximize efficiency.
Report accidents or hazardous incidents immediately.
Prepare the plant for maintenance using proper LOTO and SWP procedures.
Essential Skills
4+ years of stationary engineering experience in a manufacturing or large commercial setting.
City of Chicago - Stationary License.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with boiler systems, HVAC, and compressors.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance and plant engineering.

Work Environment
Open to 1st and 3rd shifts, working on a 4-week rotation schedule: 2 weeks on nights, then 2 weeks on days, with a rotation shift of 2 days on/2 days off. Employees will have 7 straight days off once per month. Proper PPE and GMP are required on the floor, including hair nets, beard nets, face masks, and steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $93000.00/yr.
Will be a Direct hire through Building Services of America
401K matching. 2 weeks PTO. Medical, Dental and Vision and they will also have the possibility to relocate with Mars
Weird schedule but offers flexibility.
Company is closing down in 2026 but the Maintenance Team will be the last ones to leave in May 2026.
