Shift: Shift 1

Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 4:30:00 PM)

Summary:

This position serves as a facilitator for departmental and/or organizational training, assisting in the assessment, development and delivery of associated training materials and curriculum. The employee will facilitate training programs, performing assorted administrative or operational functions such as assisting in the research and development of multi-media training materials for individual, departmental, and organizational-wide presentation and maintaining the training calendar and database. Works with intermittent supervision and review; work problems involving departures from standard policies, interpretations, or procedures will be presented to the Management for review and direction on resolution. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Educational Methods, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field and Minimum 5 years’ training, teaching, or quality assurance experience.

• Five years’ experience working with EPIC Cadence in a practice or Access Center environment.

• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certified.

• EPIC certified

• Experience within a large hospital or integrated healthcare delivery system

• Unique combinations of both hard and soft skills in order to prepare, analyze, and present data to various audiences.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly language.

• Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for organizing information logically.

• Strong organizational skills & ability to multitask and prioritize

• Proficient in Medical Terminology and HIPAA

• Excellent MS Office skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in Epic, CRM, Telephony system, Scheduling, and Registration, possessing in-depth knowledge of the functionalities and workflows.

  2. Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of workflows and procedures across all departments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding that enables effective problem-solving, process optimization, and seamless collaboration across diverse areas within the organization.

  3. Leads the process of capturing and documenting organizational knowledge, process details and technical information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of content.

  4. Responsible for driving utilization of the knowledge management system by understanding the end user experience and promoting system and search engine refinements.

  5. Utilize process mapping techniques to visualize workflows and processes, aiding in the creation of intuitive documentation.

  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify knowledge management, documentation and training needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

  7. Utilizes expert level knowledge to develop and maintain training programs, addresses system and workflow questions. Continually works to assess needs and develop training solutions that can be integrated into existing training modules or in the development of new modules.

  8. Acts as a coach and mentor, providing guidance and support to team members, while actively participating in the training of Level 1 and Level 2 personnel to enhance their skills and capabilities.

  9. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights and recommendations for optimizing processes and enhancing overall quality performance.

  10. Utilizes extensive experience to identify overarching themes and trends in root causes of errors, providing strategic insights for proactive problem-solving and continuous process improvement.

  11. Leads projects with comprehensive ownership, overseeing scoping, planning, execution, and closure phases to ensure successful delivery within established timelines and objectives.

  12. Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members, leveraging seasoned project management expertise to enhance overall project efficiency and success.

  13. Other similar and/or related duties as assigned.
