Maintenance, Operations Technology & IT Manager, Bell Mexico

This position combines the responsibility to maintain facilities, building equipment and production equipment in optimal conditions, through corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, to provide a quality and fast response service to internal customers, as well as managing local IT infrastructure for the site, working closely with global IT colleagues and local IT department.

Furthermore, the short to mid-term vision for this position is to combine information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) to improve efficiency and effectiveness, achieving an IT/OT integration/ convergence.

What You'll be Doing as a Maintenance Operations Technology & IT Manager:

Implement solutions to constantly monitor critical equipment in the plant (e.g. electrical substation, compressors room) as well as in all machinery, jigs, building equipment, A/C, etc. to ensure the optimal operation while complying with all safety requirements to maintain a safe and comfortable workplace for employees.

Develop, maintain and execute preventive maintenance program for all equipment in the plant (Production, kitchen, office, bathrooms), as well as all activities related to the building and gardens, with the support of the Maintenance technicians.

Coordinate external services, e.g.: Janitorial, gardening, pest control, grease traps maintenance and locksmiths.

Support installation of furniture and compressed air systems when required, layout changes or new facilities.

Responsible for ensuring that the services of water, power, gas and compressed air, etc. are up and running to ensure production equipment is working at optimal capacity. Keeps track of costs to identify causes and implement corrective actions if they exceed expected limits.

Follow through on corrective actions required to fix unsafe/ non-standard conditions reported by Operations & EHS.

Have permanent communication with supervisors from different areas to identify needs related to maintenance, IT, Autonomation.

Responsible for maintaining 5S in the maintenance shop & IT room.

Lead Green Kaizens to identify and implement improvement actions.

Responsible for the coordination and execution of automation projects performed by internal and or external resources.

Support the organization of special events through the installation of necessary furniture and equipment.

Provide the first line customer support for any departmental systems issues.

Responsible for selection, supervision, evaluation, training and retention of team members.

Manage the operation and maintenance of global IT solutions and identify new internal and external requirements.

Drive the IT/ OT convergence, to speed up decision-making, improve operational processes, and reduce errors, leading us to gain competitive advantage and cut costs.

Ensure real-time data exchange between IT data management systems and OT industrial operation systems, improving visibility & traceability of products, and automate data input and transfer and making data-based decisions

Perform analysis on reported problems, identify and implement solutions and/or coordinate the efforts, contributing to incident management and systematic problem-solving within the defined framework.

Coordinate TIM IT requirements in accordance with policy and budget, and systems access requirements. Create requests as required.

Provide end-user training in specific areas, when deemed necessary and participate in the deployment of applications to users.

Executing quality activities such as IT risk assessments, qualification of the solutions and presenting IT systems during audits and inspections.

Act as TIM Webmaster to maintain and update TIM Intranet site.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role:

Continuous Improvement experience, Lean Six Sigma or Green Belt.

Remarkable interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English language.

What You Need to be Successful

Professional degree in Engineering: Electronics, IT, Mechanical, Computing Sciences, or similar

At least 7 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years experience managing people.

Ability to operate and maintain several systems in a structured way, keeping control in a highly regulated industry.

Experience with Data exchange between IT data management systems and OT industrial operation systems
