Description:
Work Hours: M-F, full-time
Location: Chillicothe, Columbus, Lancaster Ohio (as needed)
Reports to: HR Manager
JOB OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced and results-driven recruiter to join our HR team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process to attract, source, and hire top talent for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recruitment strategies, specifically in the mechanical trades (HVAC, plumbing, electric), a keen ability to assess candidate potential, and a passion for building diverse and high-performing teams.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to meet organizational needs and goals.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create compelling job postings.
- Work with human resources manager and department head to forecast short and longer term hiring needs.
- Spend appropriate time in the field to learn the specific skills required for all positions at Accurate.
- Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, referrals, supply houses, and cold calling to attract top talent.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to assess candidate skills, experience and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and teams.
- Promote the company as an employer of choice by highlighting its values, culture, and growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization at job fairs, networking events, and industry-specific functions.
- Ensure all candidates complete at least two interviews before offers are made.
- Complete at least two reference checks before the job offer is made.
- Complete all pre and post employment screening and paperwork, including but not limited to: drug screens, background and MVR check, and benefits.
- Pre-employment screenings / onboarding new hires / orientation
- Responsible for updating Organizational Charts
- Updating and maintaining job descriptions
- Other tasks as assigned by HR.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in HR or relevant administrative experience, specifically in trade industry.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, recruitment tools, and best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills.
- Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a positive candidate experience.
