Summary You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Manager in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Energetics Dept of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will be responsible for overseeing overall operations as well as operational safety (Occupational/Industrial, Explosive and Radiation). You will be responsible for environmental compliance, energetic operating facilities, equipment, planning and space allocation. You will work with the Division and Branch heads in supporting, managing and planning maintenance, improvements to facilities and equipment, and coordinating use of the department’s spaces. You will serves as the Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Chair and is a member of the Command’s Explosive and Radiation committees. You will brief senior Navy personnel on capabilities, and provides recommendations and direction in mission execution and sustainment. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, establishing budgets, tracking and coordinating with line management on the execution of a number of projects associated with developing energetics related capabilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Ensuring large scale operational safety requirements are met; 2) Estimating resource requirements and managing cost, schedule, and performance data; 3) Coordinating maintenance, facilities and equipment improvements, and space usage; 4) Leading, inspiring, supervising large diverse teams.
