Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

Layout, fit, fabricate, and assemble components for Heat Processing Equipment. Work includes assembly, dismantling, and repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, align, and fit components together.

• Clamp and tack weld parts to secure proper positioning for welding.

• Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques.

• Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, ensuring structures are square and level.

• Perform tasks with sheet metal, including fabricating oven panels, spot welding, and applying insulating materials.

• Weld, cut, and grind on plate and structural steel.

• Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Stick, ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques.

• Experience with carbon steel and structural steel 1/4"+ gauge thick.

• Ability to perform layout, positioning, aligning, and fitting of components.

• Skill in clamping and tack welding parts for proper positioning.

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, including bending metal and cutting angles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be able to pass weld and quick math tests.

• Fabrication is the main skill set.

• Certifications not required.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with a potentially high noise level. Candidates must have work boots (steel toe not required). The position involves 25% welding and the rest of the time will be dedicated to fabricating, building, prepping materials, and installing insulation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
