Position Summary We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented training or instructional design professional to design and develop impactful learning solutions for our internal workforce. This role is essential in equipping employees with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their roles and advance our mission. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to create learning solutions (e.g., instructor-led training, videos, eLearning modules, job aids, etc.) that are tailored to varying literacy, language, and educational needs. By focusing on employee needs and leveraging innovative approaches, you will support the growth and scalability of our workforce, helping us better serve our community and maximize our impact.

Preferred Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Preferred experience in Training and Learning Development, or comparable/relevant experience. Experience working in a leadership position for Goodwill can be considered suitable alternative experience.
  • Experience in nonprofit or retail settings is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning design and development through coursework, projects, or work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 (or related software).
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn:
    • Learning Management Systems (LMS)
    • Articulate 360 Rise or similar eLearning tools
  • Ability to design job aids for both hard skills (e.g., technical processes) and soft skills (e.g., communication, teamwork).
  • Current knowledge of, or ability to learn:
    • Effective learning and development methods.
    • Design and produce relevant training materials for multiple methods of delivery.
    • Create assessments to measure learning outcomes effectively, including practical, scenario-based evaluations.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with openness to feedback and professional development.

Essential Duties

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and update training content.

Develop and maintain engaging training and job aids tailored to internal employee needs utilizing multiple formats (e.g., print, audio, visual, and multimedia).

Create assessments to measure learning outcomes effectively, including practical, scenario-based evaluations.

Utilize instructional design principles and innovative learning technologies to enhance training effectiveness and engagement. Explore innovative learning tools and techniques as potential solutions.

Organize and manage multiple training projects, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality deliverables.

Maintain and update training materials to align with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

Implement version control processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Support the implementation of training sessions, workshops, and eLearning courses by coordinating resources and schedules.

Coordinate language support solutions and ensure training materials meet the needs of diverse learners.

Gather and incorporate feedback from employees and managers to refine training content and delivery methods.
