Job Description:

This direct hire position is designed exclusively for former Military Aircraft Maintenance technicians from the Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines or Coast Guard with the sign-offs (8610-2) to test for an A&P License. The role includes a 10-day A&P training course at the Global School of Aeronautics in Alabama or Georgia, with hotel accommodations provided. Successful candidates will test for their A&P license, starting at $28/hr during training and increasing to a minimum of $30/hr upon licensure. Responsibilities include line maintenance on a a variety of commercial aircraft, both on-call and scheduled, routine maintenance, airworthiness releases, and ensuring all aircraft meet safety and documentation standards.

Interested and qualified candidates will need a signed 8610-2 application from an FSDO.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.

• Must be able to obtain an airport badge

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a Current Valid Driver's License.

• Frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.

• Frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.

• Awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.

• Operate equipment and read technical information.

• Exposure to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
