Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Institute for Policy Research (UCIPR) is a unit of the University of Cincinnati Office of the Provost. The UCIPR's capabilities incorporate rigorous social and behavioral applied research techniques with extensive experience conducting complex, large-scale surveys (telephone, web, in-person), program evaluation and community needs assessment, interviews and focus groups, and data analytics and visualization. Essential Functions Assist with the management of all phases of UCIPR social/behavioral science research projects. Maintain quality improvement applied /control procedures, monitoring of data collecting procedures, monitoring data collecting procedures and protocols and documentation. Gather, review and analyze data. Coordinate the generation of support data for manuscripts and proposals. Coordinate programming and analysis activities with research (lab) operations in accordance with project timelines. Perform data collection program and analysis activities. May coordinate the development of research project reports. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manuals and/or initiate new procedures as provided. Communicate appropriately to staff, research project directors/Principal investigators, students, departments, external clients and others as needed. Answer technical questions when appropriate. Work in-person in an applied research setting. Required Education Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of relevant work experience in a social/behavioral science field or related field is required. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience in a social/behavioral science field and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of experience working in an applied research setting with social/behavioral science research project management responsibilities. Strong data management and analysis skills. Additional Qualifications Considered Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software. Experience with computer assisted web and/or computer assisted telephone data collection software. Demonstrated skills in quality control of social/behavioral science research data. Demonstrated skills in analysis of social/behavioral science research data. Skills in management/coordination of multiple social/behavioral science projects and deadlines.
